Vaccinations

The national childhood schedule — nine vaccines, twenty-two doses on the Egyptian EPI calendar — generated from the birth date. Each dose is due, given (with lot, site and manufacturer) or skipped with a reason; overdue doses are on a list; reminders reach the parent; the card prints.

Before you start

Schedule
Clinical › Configuration › Vaccines & Schedule: the vaccines in the national schedule with their doses and due ages. Add travel and optional vaccines with “in schedule” off.

How to

Generate a child’s schedule

  1. A newborn registered under two years gets the schedule at registration.
  2. For any other patient: patient form › Generate vaccination schedule.

Record a dose given

  1. Clinical › Vaccinations › filter Due this week (or from the patient › Vaccinations).
  2. Open the dose › Record as given: date, lot, vial expiry, site, manufacturer, any reaction.
  3. The pharmacy stock item, if linked, is consumed.

Skip a dose

  1. Open the dose › Skip; say why: contraindication, given elsewhere, declined.
  2. Back to due reverses it.

Print the vaccination card and remind the parent

  1. Patient › Print vaccination card: every dose with its date and lot.
  2. The parent sees the same card on the portal and the app; a push or SMS reminder goes out when a dose is due.
