The GoMed modules

22 functional areas covering every department of the hospital, sold as packs that are already integrated with each other.

Patients & Front Office

Master patient index with a permanent MRN, demographics, insurance memberships, appointments, walk-ins and the waiting-room queue.

One record per human being: identifiers, blood group, allergies, chronic conditions, emergency contact and every insurance membership. Practitioner schedules, appointment booking by type, arrival tokens and a live queue board for reception.

Clinical Records (EMR)

Encounters with vitals, ICD-10 diagnoses, SOAP notes, e-prescriptions, orders, referrals and certificates.

The electronic medical record: one visit record per encounter with the patient's allergies and alerts always in view, note templates per specialty, coded diagnoses, computerised order entry for laboratory, imaging and procedures, referrals, sick-leave and medical certificates, consents.

Emergency Department

Triage (ESI 1–5), the ER tracking board, door-to-doctor times and dispositions.

Register an arrival in seconds, grade its urgency, record first vitals and open the ER visit. The tracking board shows every patient in the department by status; a disposition — discharge, admit, transfer, LAMA, deceased — closes the visit and feeds the registers.

Inpatient & Bed Management

Wards, rooms and beds; admissions, transfers and discharges; bed board, occupancy and bed-day accrual.

Admission with deposit and pre-authorisation, bed allocation by class, transfers with full history, expected discharge, length of stay, nightly bed-day accrual to the bill, discharge summary. A bed board shows every bed on one screen.

Nursing Station

eMAR, nursing notes, care plans, tasks, intake/output and shift handover.

Inpatient prescriptions become scheduled doses the nurse records as given, held or refused, with a witness on high-alert drugs. Nursing notes by shift, care plans, timed tasks, fluid balance and an SBAR handover per ward per shift.

Operation Theatre

Theatre scheduling, surgical team, WHO safety checklist, anaesthesia record, consumables and implants.

Surgeries scheduled on a theatre calendar with surgeon, assistant, anaesthetist and nurses; sign-in, time-out and sign-out with timestamps; operative note; consumables and implants booked out of the theatre store and charged to the patient with the surgery and anaesthesia fees.

Laboratory (LIS)

Test catalogue with parameters and reference ranges, sample tracking, result flags, pathologist validation, critical alerts.

Requests arrive from the clinician's orders and are grouped per sample. Accession numbers and barcode labels, collected / received / in progress / resulted / validated states, High / Low / Critical flags by sex, printed report, and a critical-value alert on the ordering physician the moment it is validated.

Radiology (RIS)

Modalities and exam catalogue, imaging requests, safety checks, radiologist reporting and verification.

X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammography and more. Contrast-allergy and pregnancy checks before the exam, scheduling on the modality, findings and impression with templates, verification, and the study's PACS link on the request.

Pharmacy & Medical Stores

Drug master, dispensing from e-prescriptions with lots and expiry, ward pharmacies, controlled-drug register, reorder and expiry alerts.

Every dispense is a real stock move with a batch and an expiry date, FEFO by default. Outpatient, inpatient, ER and theatre stores each map to a stock location; controlled drugs need a witness and write the register; expiring batches and below-minimum stock stay in view.

Billing, Insurance & Claims

Automatic charge capture, patient bills with payer/patient split, deposits, packages, cashier, pre-authorisation, claims and doctor fee statements.

Every completed act raises a charge at the payer's tariff and splits it into the patient's co-pay and the payer's share. Running bills per visit or admission, deposits reconciled on the final invoice, packages, discount approval, claim batches per payer with rejection handling and resubmission, and monthly doctor fee-share statements that become vendor bills.

Blood Bank

Donors, screened donations, component units with expiry, cross-match, issue and transfusion records.

Donor eligibility and deferral, screening before release, units by component and group with expiry, compatible cross-match, issue to the ward or theatre, transfusion record with reactions.

Dialysis Unit

Machines, recurring session schedules, session records with weights, vitals and complications, charged per session.

Chronic patients on a weekly schedule generate the month's sessions in one click; each session records pre/post weight and vitals, dialyser, access, heparin and complications, and is charged automatically.

Medical Records & Coding

Chart tracking, ICD-10 coding worklist, release of information, birth, death and notifiable-disease registers.

Paper files tracked in and out; closed visits without a coded diagnosis in a worklist; release-of-information log; birth register that opens the newborn's record; death register; notifiable diseases fed automatically from coded diagnoses.

Quality & Patient Safety

Incident reporting with RCA, infection-control surveillance, GAHAR-style self-assessment checklists, quality KPIs.

Anyone reports; quality investigates, assigns the corrective action and closes. Sentinel events alert the quality team at once. Hospital-acquired infection cases by ward and device, and accreditation self-assessments scored per standard with evidence and owner.

Patient Portal

Patients see their appointments, results, prescriptions and bills, and request appointments online.

A patient logs in to see upcoming appointments and request a new one, download validated laboratory and imaging reports, view prescriptions and pay invoices — free accounts, never counted against the subscription.

HR, Rosters & Payroll

Employees, credential expiry, duty rosters and on-call, attendance, leave and Egyptian payroll.

Staff files with licences and certificates that warn before they lapse, department duty rosters by shift, biometric attendance, leave, and payroll with Egyptian tax and social insurance.

Accounting & Finance

Full double-entry accounting, cost centres per department, cash and bank, petty cash, post-dated cheques, assets, budgets, e-invoicing.

Patient invoices and payer claims land on a real ledger with the department as cost centre. Receivables by payer, payables, bank reconciliation, petty cash, post-dated cheques, fixed assets, budgets, financial reports and Egyptian e-invoice and e-receipt compliance.

Procurement, Inventory & Assets

Requisitions, purchase orders, vendors, main and department stores, lots and expiry, consumption charged to patients.

Department requisitions to purchase orders to receipt into the main store, internal transfers to sub-stores, lot and expiry control, custody of instruments and devices issued to staff.

Biomedical & Facilities Maintenance

Equipment register, preventive maintenance and calibration schedules, breakdown requests, housekeeping.

Every device with its PPM schedule, calibration due date and service history; breakdown requests from any department; facilities work orders.

Support Services

Dietary orders, housekeeping and bed cleaning, CSSD sterilisation sets, ambulance trips, mortuary.

Diet orders per admission for the kitchen, bed-cleaning tasks raised on discharge, instrument sets with sterilisation cycles, ambulance trips with vehicle and crew, and the mortuary register.

Dashboards & Analytics

Hospital-at-a-glance landing page and revenue, occupancy, ER and laboratory analytics.

Patients today, ER waiting, bed occupancy, admissions and discharges, outstanding bills and claims, pending results, staff present — every card drills through to the records behind it. Pivot and graph views on charges, visits and incidents.
